Panic Room (noun): A secret room in an apartment or house that’s designed to be invulnerable to attack or intrusion. It’s filled with sensory objects all intentionally designed to heighten relaxation or diminish anxiety — weighted blankets, athleisure, large ice waters, a copy of You’ve Got Mail on VHS, John Mayer’s rendition of “I’m On Fire,” a snoring dog, your most comfortable sweater, and (of course) the perfect scented candle.
